Religious Education (RE) and Cultural Education

RE and cultural education help children to develop a framework of values to develop an understanding and interest in other religions and ways of life. At our school, we will respect and value the beliefs and values of other ethnicities and religions and embrace all into our school community. The children will be introduced to a variety of different religions such as Christianity and Hinduism. We will follow DfE’s 2010 guide Religious education in English schools.

Through our extended community partnerships, we also have strong community links with Faith Network for Manchester that will assist us in providing a religious education that will reflect our diverse communities but also help us to contextualise our religious beliefs in terms of broader historical and geographical frameworks.
